Pleasuredome last night was stellar. Neil Lewis played a spectacular set in the backroom, and we danced until 3:30. Club Townsend only opens the backroom for special events (like Pride weekend), so it's a treat to dance there. The sound system in the backroom is brilliant—far better than the over-amped front. They crank the speakers in the front to painfully loud levels, but the back is distortion-free.

I retract all the evil things I've said about Neil Lewis: his set last night was full of fun new music. The last few times I've heard him spin, it's been like hearing a CD—the same tired songs with the same tired mixes. Even his set at the White Party was pretty dull. But Neil must have found a bunch of new music, because he made up for it last night. I had a smile on my face all night long (and it wasn't because of this, believe it or not). This morning, I collapsed into bed, pleasantly exhausted.
