continuity

Friday, September 15, 2000

I crashed at about 3pm today at work, which was unfortunate because I was in the middle of an accounting meeting right that moment. Trying to deal with the aftermath of the financial statement fiasco earlier in the week.

Much to my surprise, I'm actually really, really enjoying my job. Things seem to be clicking. My boss and I are getting along well. I'm not a golden boy yet, but I think I'm gaining a little credibility. Hopefully I can help make some improvements. The place isn't bad, really. We're just a little company growing up very fast.

I'm amazed at the different point of view I have being an employee vs. a contractor. When I was contracting, it was easy to not care. The money was good, but I had no particular loyalty to the company.
