continuity

I'm not very good at balancing the needs of the current project (new development) with production support. In fact, I hate doing that. One of the biggest problems I face in my current job is fending off all the requests from users for changes that need to be made now. All those now now now changes end up pushing us further and further behind.

And yet, I also hate feeling like we aren't doing something. If we can't make improvements to the stuff we already have working, we risk a drift into irrelevancy.

All this, of course, probably doesn't make much sense unless you're me, but it's cathartic nonetheless.

I think I need a hamburger.
