So, the offer was signed this afternoon. Jason and I are contractually obligated to be homeowners. I feel strangely calm about the whole thing. Living in the house for six months eliminates a lot of fears that the property might not be worth the price. I'm way excited now. Wheee!

Well, offers were tendered last night. Tentative offers, but it looks like we are going to be homeowners soon. Yikes.

A change in perspective works wonders for depression. Good things are happening, I think. Some movement on the housing decision this weekend, all for the better.
The boys return from Puerta Vallarta sometime soon, if they aren't already back. The stories won't end until next December.

Hair was cut. Dishes were done. Laundry is being washed. Closets are being cleaned. Ick.
Phoenix is uniformly grey, dull, boring on so many levels right now. I've been missing San Francisco immensely. This, in spite of looming power-outages, a laughable rental market, and a lifestyle that encourages immoderate use of illicit substances. Alas.
I bought Jason the 2001 Damron guide, as he is travelling for work quite a bit lately. I opened the book to the map of SF and nearly started to cry.
House decisions soon. Are we gonna buy this heap or not? Need to figure that out soon.
OK. That's enough. Off to finish the chores. Pray for me.

Despite persistent stage three power alerts, I am still missing San Francisco desperately. You have no idea.

Uploaded a few pictures from last week's trip to Chicago. Didn't end up taking as many pictures as I had hoped, but there are a couple of decent photos from our trip to Oak Park. Proper obeisance was paid to F. L. Wright's home and studio. Love him or hate him? Who can say.
The picture Jason took of me at the entrance to Wright's studio isn't bad. Shadow of the goatee I'm trying to grow back. I think I'm starting to look a lot like my dad....

So, here I am in Chicago. Fabulous. My flight was delayed 2.5 hours, then cancelled. "Mechanical difficulties" they said. Coincidentally, there happened to be another flight an hour later, with almost exactly the right number of seats for all of us. Funny that. Perhaps America West doesn't like the idea of flying two half empty planes.... You decide.
Chicago is butt-ass-cold. But the boys are cute.
And now, shopping!
