Correction. Jason bought a new car. It is sitting on our front lawn as we speak. Sweet.

Enjoying that brief sliver of daylight before the temperature rises to intolerable levels. The windows are open and a fresh pot of coffee fills the house with a warm smell.

Yummy new trackball this afternoon, followed by two icy martinis and tuna salad at My Florist.

Now, to bed.

Sigh. I miss San Francisco. The weekend has been lazy and uneventful and just fine. Hous-und-hund-sitting for friends who are off aligning their chakras at the Russian River, or somesuch. I am seriously considering applying for houseboy, as the flat is fab-u-luss.

The dogs, a largish, ancient Siberian husky and a hyperactive whippersnapper chocolate lab have been a nice treat. Oscar is human enough not to demand dinner or a walk. These dogs knock themselves out with the demands. Daddy, walk! Daddy, dinner! Daddy, you are in my bed!

The weather here has been perfect. Crisp, cool, and foggy in the morning, with patches of sun and margaritas toward mid-day. A couple of casual dinners out and early to bed. Much needed sleep has been caught upon.

Back home to the oven tonight for me. Jason drives home on Tuesday.

Off to breakfast in the East Bay, and then maybe some shopping before planes are caught.

Off to San Francisco in the morning to meet with two potential clients and thence to enjoy a long weekend. Whew.
