Well it hasn't been the greatest of trips.
Scissor Sisters was a good show last night. The Hammerstein Ballroom was SRO, with decent view of the stage. The Sisters are really, really good at self promotion. Every other word out of their mouths was "we Scissor Sisters" and palaver about how busy they have been in the last year. Just sing, guys. The show wasn't as wild as we were given to believe it would be. Del Marquis is cute as a button though.
In other news, it is butt ass cold in NYC now. A skiff of snow and sub-freezing temperatures put a damper on anything we might want to do today. Lunch with DT, and then we bundled into a cab and abandoned the city for the airport. Unfortunately, our damn flight is delayed by 1.5 hours. It's been a long day already.
Jason is sick and grumpy, and hasn't had a very fun time. Maybe not NY next year....

In NYC for the weekend. It has been cold and overcast. The city is bristling with Christmas cheer and holiday shoppers. My weekend has been rather more subdued. Much needed napping and book reading. A few excellent meals out so far. Elephant and Castle West in the West Village has excellent breakfasts (served up by a cute and charming wisp of an alternative-punk-Indian waitress). La Scatolina for Italian last night. Bit of a dive from the looks of it, but decent food. Right below Greenwich Brewery, where beers were served with a wink and a smile by a cutie with ice-blue eyes.
Rather ready to be home, I think to figure out how to finish off Christmas. And start the New Year properly.

Wade is here for the weekend.
Work has been crazy and stressful. But seems to be getting better. Probably will spend a few weeks in Ireland after the first of the year.
Vacation T minus 2 days and counting. Off to NYC for a few days. Shopping, MOMA, Scissor Sisters, bar-hopping, shadiness. Then home to see the parents/grandparents/etc.
Shiny-shoe party tonight. Will be the first time I've been out in weeks and weeks.
Haven't finished Christmas shopping yet. Argh.
That is all.
