So Scott tagged me with the Caesar's Bath "meme". I don't normally do this, but the premise is interesting. (Who started this anyway?)

Bluetooth Headsets

Yeah, I have one. It has parked on my desk since the day I bought it, blue light blinking furiously. I just can't bring myself to wear the dorky thing.

Jason and I spent most of our Saturday evening meal last weekend (yummy sushi and much sake) mocking the alpha-male at the table next to us. He sported a painful, frilly designer shirt (with only one button fastened above the navel), Yankees ballcap artfully turned 10 degrees to the left, gold chains, and a blinking Bluetooth headset. At dinner. With his best mates and his girlfriend. Gimme a break. You aren't that important.

I'll wait until the headset shrinks to a little stick-on dot hidden behind your ear.

Dashboard

Upgraded to Tiger, like the obedient thrall of Apple I've become. Everyone gushed about Dashboard and widgets. Meh. It's a cool oh-wow thing to show people, but is it going to be useful in the long run?

Camera Phones

I don't get it. Snapping blurry random photos with my cell phone isn't my thing. I'm not a big photographer anyway.... I've been known to go on week-long vacations without taking a single picture, to the frustration of friends and boyfriend. I don't know about your pockets, but there's a lot of lint in my pocket, which migrates to my phone. If I want to snap your mug, I'd rather have a purpose-built digital camera in my bag.

Reality Television

Um, no, sorry. I need a script please. I've actually given up on television entirely, so I'm completely lost when people gush about America's Top Model or whatever "lost on a desert island" show happens to be popular at the moment. I've threatened to get a TiVo, but our TV is stashed in a back bedroom, so it's a major endeavor to watch a DVD or find something interesting on TV. We're still working our way through season 2 of Six Feet Under, which is about the only television show that hooked me. We watch LOTS of TV when we visit my friend Brian in London. But it tends to be British cooking shows and raunchy British sitcoms. BBC America is only a pale shadow.

Memes

Bug me not with quizzes and lists. So I'm breaking the chain and this meme stops here. If you'd like to pick up the meme and continue with Caesar's Bath, feel free. Email me and let me know so I can read your witty prose....
