Record-breaking temperatures here in Phoenix.

Unfortunately, the records were broken inside our house. A dust storm Sunday night took out most of our power (something about a missing b-phase) at 9pm. The house was 90 degrees in 15 minutes, and reached over 100 degrees sometime yesterday afternoon. The thermostat gave up at 99, so we have no idea how hot it really was.

So last night we checked the doggie into the kennel and checked ourselves into the hotel across the park. The power must have been restored sometime after 9pm last night, because it was cool when I came home this morning. I'm not looking forward to that again.
