To London and back. There has been much travel in the last month. Jason's annual birthday trip was again to London this year, with his actual birthday spent in Paris. We crashed with friend Brian in London, sleeping rough on the floor of his flat. We were pleased to eat his (delicious) cooking daily, and made the usual rounds of pubs and clubs.

First time in Paris for both of us. Brian came along to be our tour guide and translator. He suggested a great restaurant in the Marais for JB's birthday dinner. Le Grizzli Cafe, which seemed a lot gayer once we were seated. Champaigne, foie gras, rack of lamb, cheese, espresso. The food was plentiful and fatty and glorious.

We saw the usual first-time-in-Paris sights: the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Pompidou. We ate and ate and ate. Pictures soon.
