Summer Doldrums

Everyone is fleeing to the coasts for vacation. I'm jealous, since Phoenix is back to normal. Hot.

I have about three more weeks of vacation to use, so I'll be working on scheduling holidays soon. We're talking about Paris for my birthday in December. A bit chilly, sure, but I'm perfectly willing to hang out in cafes or spend a day in the Louvre this time. Last trip was museum-free, so we could use some art.

Hopefully the travel restrictions calm down before I have much flying to do. I can't imagine a trans-Atlantic flight with nothing to read and no electronic gadgets to occupy my time. I generally can't stand the in-flight movie, and I rarely can sleep on a plane. If I had to spend nine hours listening to crying children and the drone of the engines, I'd have to cut someone.

at least they haven't taken away alcohol on planes yet, or we really wouldn't have anyway to entertain ourselves!!
