New York
So who's going to New York with us to crash Harold's new restaurant? Whoohoo!
We so totally need to know why Harold is "not single."
I'd actually settle for a trip to Las Vegas to eat through the restaurants there. Craftsteak, Per Se, Nob Hill, etc.
Sigh.

Little Black Book
I knew it was hopeless to resist once I walked in and saw the slim black case, bright screen, and new keyboard. I bought a new BlackBook last night, and I love it. Jason is thrilled too, as the pass-along-technology rule means that he gets the PowerBook G4 now.
This MacBook reminds me of my first PowerBook. I typed my way through college on a chunky 145 with a black and white screen. The keyboard on the new MacBook feels good and is easier to use than the PowerBook. My fat fingers always felt like they were mashing too many keys. This feels solid, and really fast.
Now I need a DVI connector to get it hooked up to my desktop monitor.

The City
We're trying San Francisco again. It was touch and go before we left, as Jason again came down with a stomach flu somethingorother that put him out of commission for a day or two. But we made it and are having a good time.
Since Lucy isn't done with her shots yet, we dragged her along. I was dreading the flight with puppy in tow. But she surprised me by being quiet and sleeping the entire way. We bought the perfect puppy carry on and it fits exactly under the seat, which is a bonus.
Some friends are out of town (seeing the Madge opener in LA) and they offered their house to us for the weekend. After we arrived last night, we checked in to our flat, changed clothes, and then raced to Mecca for a birthday party for our friend Mark. Cocktails were in full swing, and everyone was loaded. It was about 800 degrees inside Mecca, so we downed our drinks and walked to Chow for a quick dinner. Afterward, we returned for the party wrap up and headed back to the house and to bed. Apparently the party kept rolling, first to Badlands and then to the End Up, where things broke up at about 6am. Yikes.
Today was lunch/breakfast at the retro Boulevard Cafe. Obviously a converted Denny's or somesuch. But the food was excellent and plentiful. And they make a decent bloody mary. After food we hit Union Square for some shopping. Naps this afternoon, and we should be out for some additional fun, somewhere. Perhaps south of Market... Hmmm.

Dogs
Whoo. Adult interaction has been low this week. I feel like all I've done is work, drive between home and work, play with puppies, and sleep.
Thankfully, there is a party Saturday night where shiny shoes will be worn and cocktails will be consumed. And Jason returns from LA tomorrow so he can babysit puppies for awhile.
Back to the dogs.
