An Inconvenient Truth
I like Al Gore. I voted for Al Gore. (No surprise there.)
But he would have been completely insufferable as President. I'm watching him on the Daily Show, and I have to turn the sound down. Not quite as bad as the Decider in Chief, but it would be close.

I-don-no
Tomorrow I'm off to Idaho for a few days. Boise for a couple of days, then to McCall to spend the 4th with my grandmother. McCall is a mountain resort town surrounding a lake. Grandmother has a condo time-share my grandfather bought on a lark. She's there for two weeks each year, and the family comes and goes during that time. I haven't been in 10 years, so it should be interesting.
McCall is charming, but small. There are a couple of bars and restaurants, but I'm sure I'll be spending most of the time with my BlackBook and a real book.

Motivation
Website guilt has setting in. I generally mock those who post about not being able to write, but here I am. I'm guilty of not bothering to post for weeks at a time as you might have noticed. I figure I'm probably the only one still reading this, so it doesn't much matter.
Except that the website is supposed to be primarily for me, really. My journal, or at least a bit of evidence to help me remember where I've been and what I've been up to. Admittedly, some of that evidence is embarrassing now and then, but at least it's there, in digital form. I don't think I'll ever lose a job over it, but I may cringe from time to time.
In truth, my web skills have not kept up with the times. Perhaps that's why I can't drag myself to the keyboard to write. I used to spend hours in front of my PC, attempting to hack out websites and futzing with Photoshop. I can't seem to find the energy these days. I've had the same website design for the last couple of years, and Jason is getting cranky with me since I've not updated his in forever.

Guys and Balls
Film festival!
Last night we saw Guys and Balls with a room full of queers, bears, and assorted hangers on. A gay German comedy about soccer. I don't think we knew it was subtitled before we sat down. The movie was loaded with all sorts of stereotypes, but nevertheless it was entertaining.
The brace of margaritas at Z-Tejas before the show (and one for good measure afterward) didn't hurt.

I want to see mountains!
We're off to Flagstaff for the weekend. Cooler, you know. Plus it's mini-pride in Northern Arizona. So college boys look out.
continuity is the personal site of john logan, a thirtyish guy in phoenix, arizona.
he lives with a one-eyed jack russell terrier, several computers, and entirely too many books.
here you'll find his journal, travelogue, and a photo now and then.
